The Running Lab Online Course is for runners of all abilities, including beginners. In fact, this course gives beginners an incredible opportunity to avoid the common pitfalls of most adult runners, which inevitably result in injury – upwards of 80% of runners are injured every year!
The Running Lab will teach you to use the hardware you were born with (i.e. the biomechanical masterpieces known as feet), to move safely and efficiently in the skilled process known as running.
The Online Course consists of progressive drills that have been carefully programmed to engrave movement patterns on your brain. Put another way, The Running Lab drills will teach you to run efficiently with less thinking. Imagine gliding up hills whilst everyone around you is pushing, plodding and fighting the same hill.
The Running Lab Online Course consists of 6 core videos over 6 weeks. Each video demonstrates the drills and/or drill progressions for the week. Common errors with each drill will be outlined, along with how to correct them.
You will also have access to exclusive material on footwear, strength and posture, and mobility for 12 weeks. You need to know how the shoes you are wearing to work are depleting your running ability; and that the way you stand when you brush your teeth can contribute to shin splints and achilles pain.
The majority of The Running Lab drills require very little space and can be done within your home, your garage or even at the office.
The drills do not take hours each day. In fact, many of the drills can be incorporated into your existing life. A saying I was taught years ago was, “a little and often”. This is true for The Running Lab drills. They need to be performed for short time frames, as often as possible.
Your success from The Running Lab Online Course will be measured not only with your improved running but also by improvements in many other aspects of your life. I have had many Running Lab participants contact me months after completing the course with reports of achieving success in athletic endeavours separate to running; or even overcoming long term injuries and obstacles they thought they were destined to carry with them forever. Others just report less aches and pains in life in general, or an increased ability to run around with their grandchildren and even great grandchildren.
It is time to learn how to run; to do drills to improve your technique; exercises to improve your mobility, strength and posture; and ultimately, run better and safer through efficiency.
